This morning I had the privilege of speaking to a group of caregivers called Amazing Angels, led by Nadine Nichols. Our topic was using writing to process emotions, shift mindset, and move forward with intention, even in the middle of a hard season.

That might sound like a caregiving conversation. Stay with me, because it is also a leadership conversation.

Every high-performing entrepreneur, consultant, or thought leader I have ever worked with carries a version of these thoughts: "I will never have time to write this book." "How will I ever pull all of this together?" "I worry that my story is not interesting enough."

Those are not facts. Those are stories. And the good news is that stories can be rewritten.

These prompts come from Rachel Koltin, my co-leader at Women Connect; Gavin McHale, a gifted mindset coach; and the members of my Cancer Caregiver Support Group of East Tennessee. They were designed for caregivers, and they work just as powerfully for leaders who are ready to get their ideas out of their heads and into a book.

Try them.

One Word Check-In
Right now, I feel...

Thought Reframe #1
I worry that...
What if...

Thought Reframe #2
How will I ever...
How can I...

Thought Reframe #3
I will never...
For now, I will...

Three Good Things
Even during a demanding season, there are still things working in your favor. What are three of yours?

Looking Ahead
I wish I would...
This week, I will...

One Small Step
What is one thing I can do this week to move my book forward?

Here is what I want you to notice. Every prompt moves you from stuck to possible. "I will never" becomes "For now, I will." "How will I ever" becomes "How can I." That shift is not just a mindset exercise. It is the exact muscle you need to write a book that actually sounds like you.

The leaders who write the best books are not the ones who waited until everything was perfectly aligned. They are the ones who decided their ideas were worth capturing, found the right team to help them do it well, and took one small step.

If you have been carrying a book idea and are ready to find out what it would actually take to bring it to life, I would love for you to schedule a Publishing Pathway Call with one of our Publishing Advisors. No pressure, no fluff. Just a real conversation about your expertise, your goals, and whether we are the right fit to help you get there.

Books live forever!
